Come taste with us

The Wine Appreciation Group gets together about once a month for a guided tasting built around a theme — a grape, a region, a style — so every event is a chance to learn something new and compare wines side by side. It's relaxed and social; you don't need any wine knowledge to enjoy it, just curiosity and a palate.

Each tasting features 8 to 9 wines, generally a sparkling to start, then a flight of whites and a flight of reds. Come to as many or as few events as you like — there's no commitment to attend every month.

What it costs & who can come

The standard fee is $25 per person, which covers the wines poured at the event. Premium or special tastings may cost a bit more — the announcement email always says.

Guests are welcome — you may bring a friend or spouse (male or female), and they pay the same per-person fee. It's a great low-pressure way to introduce someone to the group.

Events are popular and frequently sell out, so reserving early is the way to be sure of a seat.

How to reserve your spot

Everything runs on the group's email announcements — that's the key thing to know:

  1. 1Make sure you're on the wine group's email list so you receive each tasting's announcement. (New to the group? Contact the wine group leader to be added — see the main Wine Appreciation page.)
  2. 2Each announcement gives the theme, date, place, and cost and tells you exactly how to reserve and pay. Because events fill up, reply promptly to claim your spot.
  3. 3Show up, say hello, and enjoy the flight. Not sure how a tasting works? Read How a Tasting Works first so you feel right at home.
💡 Brand new to wine? That's exactly who this hub is for. Try the Wine Style Explorer to get a feel for the grapes, skim How a Tasting Works, and come to your first event with zero pressure — everyone started somewhere.
