See how bowling scoring really works
Bowling scoring trips up almost everyone — those strike and spare bonuses "borrow" from later rolls. Type your rolls into the scorecard below and watch it keep score the proper way, frame by frame. Enter 10 for a strike; two rolls that add to 10 make a spare.
10 in a frame's first box = a strike (the second box locks). Any two rolls that total 10 = a spare. A strike is worth 10 + your next two rolls; a spare, 10 + your next one roll. The 10th frame gives a bonus ball when you strike or spare, so it can hold three rolls.
